# Setting up Power BI and Integrating it With Microsoft Dynamics 365 Owner: Savage Babajide Author: Savage Babajide Category: Power BI Created time: September 2, 2024 4:34 AM Publish: Yes **STEP 1 - Download Power BI Desktop** You can download on Microsoft Store or use [Power BI Desktop Download Link](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/products/power-bi/desktop)  **STEP 2 - LOGIN** First thing you need to do is sign-in your Dynamics Account. Click on sign-in, type in your Dynamics username, then click on continue.  After signing in, you’ll see your username at the/ top right corner of your Power BI home screen  **STEP 3 - CONFIGURE THE IMPORT SETTINGS** Before you start importing your data, there are some usual things to check and configure - Click on File  - Click on Options and Settings, then click on Options  - In the **Current File** section, click on **Data Load**, ****I’ll advice turning off those two settings. Those settings automatically detect relationships when you load in your data and can sometimes undo customizations you have performed, so they are best left off.  **STEP 4** - **Make sure your Dataverse in Microsoft Dynamics 365 is enabled for Power BI** Go to [Home - Power Platform admin center (microsoft.com)](https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/home) to get to the admin side of Microsoft Power Platform, click on **Environments**, select your environment and click on **Settings.**  - Click on Product and click on Features  - Ensure **TDS Endpoint** is enabled  STEP 5 - GET DATA To get your data into Power BI report, click on **Get data,** select more at the bottom, search for **Dataverse**, after selecting **Dataverse,** click on **continue.**  - You get a Pop-up prompting you to sign-in, click on sign-in  - Input your sign-in credentials.  - Note, when you are done with the sign-in, you’ll be able to see that on the screen, Click on **Connect.**  - This Navigator pane shows up, expand the environment you want to get tables from, select the tables and click on **Load**, should you want to do some data manipulation, then click on Transform Data, this opens up Power Query editor.  - After Loading your data into Power BI, navigate to the Model view in Power BI and setup your relationship.  ### *START BUILDING YOUR REPORT!!!*
